UNHAPPY CAMPERS 🖕

The Boruto series has had MAD controversy since it’s debut. OG Naruto fans like myself feel this sentimental overhaul when it comes to the series, it’s just most of our childhoods. We treasure the big 3 as anime fans & Naruto definitely has reached global success in its run. No one expected the series to have a continuation past Naruto Shippuden because of how everything became full circle. When news struck that Boruto was coming, fans were more unhappy then they were thrilled. Naruto having kids & being put on the “back burner” with Sasuke & the rest just didn’t sit right with anime fans. Especially with the NEW TEAM 7 :eyes:

To be honest the first few episodes of Boruto really didn’t sit right with me either, because I felt it had been watered down from the Naruto series that I’ve known & loved for so many years. Jumping from the of Shippuden to the Boruto series is definitely a shock to many. It took me getting through at least 20 episodes to really start to love & appreciate the Boruto series. I questioned its relevance & iconic potential but was amazed to see Naruto finally get the family he wanted j how life was in konaha after the Great War. It’s just a genius idea to keep it running. At least that’s what I viewed it as….

Son Of The Hokage :man_with_turban: ‍♀

Boruto Uzumaki is the first born child of Naruto Uzumaki & Hinata. At first impression, Boruto’s overly cocky attitude and spoiled sense of morals is what kind of offsets you about his character. One thing that us anime fans DO NOT like is a character who gets everything handed to them. We like seeing characters who struggle & have immense growth because of it. Some have argued that Boruto has never truly been put through the ringer & is undeserving of the all the skill & power he obtains.

There was no surprise to me that the son of THE NARUTO UZUMAKI wouldn’t have crazy talent & power. After an happy go lucky upbringing full of reliability, friendship’s & acceptance, Boruto has now matured in the story greatly. If you haven’t caught all the way up with the series than I won’t spoil it but I’ll just drop cues here & there. Slight context of what our young new gen hero is facing. With such a weight on his shoulders to be someone different from his dad(Literally Kishimoto has been trying to make Boruto his own entity for so long), Boruto has to control his powers after being struck with A Karma power from the Otsutsuki god #Kawaki . Everything in Boruto’s life up to this point was just a flashback of his childhood& happier days & what he saw. Which is actually great contrast when we are talking about Naruto because his childhood was hell & it took years for Naruto to truly find inner peace & happiness. So with Boruto’s life now taking a turn in his memories, we now see just how a spoiled kid can lose it all, INSTANTLY. :dash:

KAWAKI UZUMAKI :waning_crescent_moon:

When Kawaki first got introduced into the series, I already became a fan of him because his design was next level & his attitude made me feel like a shift was going to happen in the series. A shift that may just make more people want to tune into the series. Kawaki after having a troubled childhood & being burdened by a force Karma power like Boruto, did not have it easy. Naruto took him under his wing with his family & never looked back. No matter how rude or obnoxious Kawaki was, Naruto & Boruto never thought less of him. Kawaki enjoyed the comfort of living with a real family after suffering abuse & almost being sold as a child. Kawaki respects Naruto more than anyone in the world & it’s more of an obsession. Kawaki is strong & deep down knows the capability of his abilites.

Kawaki was born & told to be nothing more than a test subject for the world of evil. It’s sad to see how hard this kid had it & I feel he definitely has one of the saddest backstory’s on any character in the Naruto franchise. I think he was a well done character overall. So much mystery that keeps up hooked! Kawaki’s path was teased on the first episode of Boruto where we saw a destroyed leaf village with Older Kawaki & Boruto dueling it out. I was shocked to see how brilliantly the series took a shift when Kawaki made everyone that Boruto loved, TURN ON HIM. The manga chapter went viral and this is definitely an instance where waiting for a series to build some credibility is worth it.

TIME SKIP: TWO BLUE VORTEX :cyclone:

We finally have made it to the part of the series that has been highly hyped up for AGES. Just seeing how for the series has progressed is an excitement for any fan. I was so hyped seeing the time skip character designs & what the future looked like for this series. They are cookin :fire: No longer can we view Boruto as a spoiled child who has worked for nothing in his life. Now we are seeing Boruto pushed past his limits & having to start from the bottom when it comes to fixing all the wrong. The fact that they called the series “Boruto Two Blue Vortex” alone makes it seem much more menacing than just Naruto next generations. We can finally breathe with the fact that he have concluded Naruto’s era & now Boruto can have some traction to stand alone.

I’m so interested to see how much Boruto will grow and what will happen with the OG characters in the series. This is one of those series in which I feel the manga is superior until it comes to the fights. Boruto now having to face himself, his brother, his village & the cursed Otsutsuki powers within by Momoshiki. Some fans are still opposed to this new era of Boruto & it makes me question if it’s just for likes or they truly can’t accept this series for what it is….

HATERS/FANS CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF IT :new_moon:

We can all it that if you are a fan of Naruto, there is no way you won’t keep tabs on what’s going on with the franchise. Rather it’s Merch, games, anime or manga. OG Naruto fans will always tune into whatever is put out for us to see. Rather they like it or not. Even people who aren’t fans of the Naruto Or Boruto series will still tune into Boruto because it’s been made a running hype & laugh of the anime community. It’s one of those things where people love to hate it & it only makes the series more successful.

Every time I see Boruto trending, I always see people who claim to not be fans jump in to see what’s going on. Any news or data. Even One Piece Fans lol. Even as a fan of Boruto, I can it that the series had a shaky start and again it’s just not what you’d expect at first but I felt the same about many anime series before. It just takes a little push for you to get into it. If you truly don’t like the series & don’t stand by the hype then that’s perfectly normal & you’re allowed to feel that way. Naruto resigns within people differently and it’s your choice as the consumer to partake in what you like to see. But from what I’m seeing, you can’t help but follow along to what happens next lol. There will ALWAYS be something to talk about.

Conclusion 🥷

I hope everyone will give Boruto a shot & realize that Naruto has officially ended as a series. Naruto & Sasuke’s story is over and they can’t ruin something that’s already set stone in history. Not once have I thought that my childhood was being trampled on because of Boruto because I recognize them both as two different series. But idk man, it’s look pretty heat for Boruto now and I’m definitely gonna stick around until the end and see what’s going to happen for the young hero & the village. Just how will they judge power & influence.

Himawari has been a silent character for most of the series so far & I think we are bound to get a whole other section for her too. Just what’s in store for all the Boruto characters and how can Kishimoto formulate another masterpiece? I swear I never get excited for manga chapters the way I do for Boruto, it’s always some controversy and hype around it. Enough so that most anime fans can help but to fuck with it & tune it. :100:
