Yes Maca, not matcha. Maca is a root superfood that helps increase stamina, energy and libido :kissing_heart: Maca has a very strong taste, so it’s best to start with a little and add more as needed. It pairs well with chocolate and nut butters. At that point, it almost takes on a butterscotch taste.

I’ve made this twice in the past week because it’s so good.
Cacao powder
Maca powder
Maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
Peanut or almond butter
Plant mylk (I used unsweetened cashew)
As you can see, I had one as a smoothie and one as a smoothie bowl.

It has a sort of bitter coffee-ish/toffee-ish flavor. Like a burnt latte. I like to put it in my banana smoothie, peanut butter sammies, or hot chocolate. Also good to sneak into pancakes or overnight oats.
I’ll have to try it in hot chocolate. That sounds really good
i really like adding maca to my smoothie or oatmeal too 🙂
It's really expensive for me (a student) do you know any shops where they sell it for a reasonable price?
I got mine from my thrive hip.
In Perú it is sold at the markets at a very reasonable price. Black maca for men and white maca for women. At least that is what they told us, haha. We also tried warm (hot vegan chocolate) and it was good.
One of my friends gave me a whole kilo of maca, I wanted to use it for a long time but she finally brought me some and I was able to use it on my smoothies, I also add it to some of my crepes and oatmeal, I was maca happy since she gave it to me
I definitely didn’t like it at first (oh god, the smell!) but once I realized less is more, it’s definitely become one of my favorites.
I’ve been meaning to make a maca fudge. The crepes sound good!

I have some too and the taste is overpowering, I rarely use it, but I like your tip it pairs well with chocolate and nut butters, I will reserve for that and start using smaller quantities. Thanks!
