So, first of all I want to say happy early anniversary for JSA, you turned 4 this year! 🥳🥳 Even thou it hasn't been 1 year since I ed this community, I could say that this community really helps me and motivates me in learning Japanese (●´∀`●)

· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·

How it motivates me?

The weekly classes, homework, and the exam.

These 3 are the main things that keep motivates me in learning Japanese. The weekly classes :man: ‍ :school: :woman: ‍ :school: are the foundation for me to learn something new about Japanese grammar, sentence, and many more! Even thou there're class I couldn't attend due to time zone differences, all of the 先生 are really helpful when I asked them what I don't understand and help me to correct my homework answer.

Yeah I know I'm really annoying when I asked these, but luckily, they still reply me (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

As for the homework :books: and exams :page_facing_up: , these 2 help me to review what I've learnt. I'm not saying that I love homework or exams, I do hate them... but without these, with my lazy personality... I won't review any of the lesson

The monthly challenge by every club also really fun and encourage me to use some of the lesson I've learned, even some new vocab! You could see in every description, that most of it, they want us to include some Japanese vocab. The challenges also help me to think creatively :bulb: and hone my "talent" in every aspect in every challenge, such as literature :black_nib: , art :art: , cooking :egg: , imagination :rainbow: , and many more! And most of it is training my English skill since English is not my mother language, so yeah... not only my Japanese but also English are honed in every challenge.

おきだについて

The Okida word is formed from a combination of 3 words,

Omamori, KItsune, and DAruma

お守り、狐、達磨

These 3 things can be seen clearly in the picture. The Okida word itself has the same pronounciation with 大きだ • おおきだ, means big. So, I hope this Okida will give you big encouragement and big good luck in learning Japanese.

おきだの説明

Let's take a look the meanings behind every main things in the picture

1. Daruma Doll :apple:

Daruma (達磨) is a traditional Japanese doll, which has become a symbol of preseverance and luck in Japan. The unique characteristic of this doll is no matter how many times they fell down, they'll always stand back by themself.

So, I hope we can be like daruma, no matter how many times we failed to understand the lessons or do the exams, we'll always keep fighting until we can understand the lessons and the exams.

2. Kitsune Mask :japanese_goblin:

Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox. Fox has contradictory behaviour, it can be benevolent or malevolent depends on the situation. Kitsune is closely associated with Inari and the more tails the kitsune have, the wiser and powerful it is.

So, I hope we can use the Japanese wisely and have a great foundation of Japanese everywhere and everytime we use our Japanese skill, just like a mask, which is easy to carry and use :3

3. Omamori 🧧

Omamori is a Japanese amulet which is also known as lucky charm. There're various of omamori, one of them is the 学業成就 • がくぎょうじょじゅ, lucky charm for students to exams.

In the picture, I'm tryin to draw the 学業成就お守り, even thou the 学業成就 word itself isn't written, but I change it to our JSA logo, the 富士山 :mount_fuji: and 和. So I hope that we can every exams given :,)

4. The 七転八起 calligraphy :u7981:

:dizzy: Art Challenge- 4th Anniversary JSA :tada: -So, first of all I want to say happy early anniversary for JSA, you turned 4 this year

七転八起 • ななころびやおき means fall 7 times, stand up eight. It's a Japanese proverb which has relation with the daruma doll. It means to never give up hope and always strive more. So, yeah... hope we'll never give up in studying Japanese :two_hearts:

*I drawn the calligraphy by impersonate a calligraphy picture

Ah right, since it's June challenge, I use the yellow pastel color as the background and some orange blocks. Why? So, I'm doin some observation about June's month, and it turns out that June is known as sunny month :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: . So, I decided to pick yellow :yellow_heart: and orange 🧡, which is the closest color to symbolize the bright and radiant sun :)
