So, without further delay,

here’s my question for you all :

⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

What's your favorite anime opening and ending theme song and how does it represent the series?

╭                                My answer                                     ╮

In my case [spoiler alert], I'll choose the opening

and closing song from "Tokyo Revengers".

                     Opening: Cry baby

Closing: Koko de Iki wo Shite

I personally feels that Cry baby is Takemichi point of view and closing song is Hinata point of view. Moreover both of the songs represent the series very well, Opening song, "cry baby" lyrics represent the Takemichi (main character) determination to change his and his friends fate, saving Hinata. And everybody knows that Takemichi was crying oftenly in the series worried about the future changes, makes the title of the song quite suitable.

"I'm covered in blue bruises and

I shed tears over and over again.

With our unstable minds

resting on each other's shoulders,

we will continue to defy the rotten bad end."

[My favourite lineee]

Whereas the closing song is Hinata's Point of view, emotional growth, struggles and a little hope to change everything. The title translate to breathe here (here : the past he is trying to change, that past that he is in).

"If I meet you again you will still be my hero

An honest wish,

That goes beyond the time we found it

So that I can find you again

Just breathe here, forever"

Both of the songs sounds good in context of series and represent the opening (where he is determined that he will do anything to change it) and closing (where he is emotional~ sometimes he made it, completed what he wanted to, everything went according to the plan, but sometimes he mess it up).

That's pretty difficult. The one that always pops into my mind when it comes to the best anime openings is Sakuramitsutsuki (by SPYAIR). Gintama's 13th opening song will always give me goosebumps especially when I'm watching the TV version with the visuals because this opening captures both the bleak and dark moments of Gintama especially during that arc as well as the hopeful and joyful moments.

With regards to anime ending songs, I always lean towards Secret Base (by ZONE). Anohana's ending song perfectly portrays nostalgia, sorrow, loss, and friendship which are the core themes of Anohana. I think this ending song is one of the few ending songs that I never skipped because it gave me the time to just reflect on what I have watched.

Sebastian

My favorite opening theme song and ending song are from the anime Yuri On Ice.

The opening theme song for the anime is "History Maker."

The ending theme song for the anime is "You Only Live Once."

I get so emotional hearing the theme song "History Maker" because it captures the stories and the lovely tone it sets for all the skaters' journeys. It also reflects making one's own history in its own way. When I listened to the song for the very first time, it immediately had a slow-moving and stirring quality that matches the series in some ways. It also highlights the relationship between Yuri Katsuki, the protagonist, and Victor Nikiforov, his romantic love interest, which becomes more romantic as the series progresses with just one watch and twelve episodes. The song sentiment "Born To Make History" reflects and talks about Yuuri's ever-loving journey back to being a professional competitive skater on the ice. The series theme of "History Maker" also represents queerness in sports.

I absolutely love seeing LGBTQ+ representation in sports because it makes me feel that there is a place for everyone, no matter your sexuality or where you come from. There is always a place for everyone, even in sports, and there is so much representation of LGBTQ+ individuals in this anime and. It's the best kind of representation that I absolutely love to see until the very end.

I like how "History Maker" represents Yuuri's personality so well that it sometimes gives me fuzzy vibes, but it's the good kind of Fuzzy feeling, especially with the lyrics. They really show and combat the stigma surrounding mental health issues and how they affect individuals in the sports world and etc.The lyrics and the show do a fantastic job of detailing Yuuri's anxiety and mental health issues, including accurate depictions of his anxiety attacks and where they come from. I am glad Yuuri isn't the only one experiencing and demonstrating his anxiety through figure skating; JJ, another character in the anime, shows his own anxiety during the competition. This shows and explains the struggles they face.

They both go together like bread and butter, no matter how off together it might seem. Even though it shows Yuuri's struggles when it comes to figure skating, he's still able to maintain his gentle and kind personality, especially around the other skaters who are competing for the gold medal at the Grand Prix, just like he is himself. Especially when he’s at his lowest point during it, you can hear it in the lyrics how emotionally distraught he is whenever the scene changes in the anime, which my heart so soft for the theme song even more.🥇 :bouquet: 🥈 :pig: :ramen: 🧊⛸

Guys my brain is not braining and I can't any themes other than FMAB.

I still belive that FMAB has the best themes in all of anime. If I don't have a bad taste in musc which I hope I don't have then FMAB themes are perfect so I'll choose all themes from FMAB and not gonna give a philosophical answer or pick only one.

I tell you check out FMAB themes right now and if you haven't watched the anime then you are stupid so go and watch it. I 99% guarantee that you'll thank me after for recommending you FMAB themes.

The hard part about this QoTW is the aspect that how the themes connect with that specific anime.

I'll also like to add opening 1 of Demon Slayer

The music and Lisa's voice is great as always but the lyric vibe with the anime. The quote "You have given me a reason to get stronger" just vibes with our boy Tanjiro trying to become stronger to defend Nezoko.

I don't exactly if it was an opening or an ending, but I really liked "Kimi ga emu yuugure" from Tokyo Ravens. It was really soothing and somehow gave this nostalgic feeling which i am unable to explain in words.
